As it became known, users have revealed another Ubisoft manipulation regarding Assassin’s Creed: Shadows.

Recently, a Japanese “expert” and Ubisoft consultant, Kazuma Hashimoto, said in an interview with the New York Times that criticism of the game is allegedly only spread by people in the West who use a translator and misinterpret the words of the Japanese, while the Japanese themselves “were not upset that the game presents Yasuke as a protagonist and samurai.”

However, users managed to discover that Hashimoto, judging by his LinkedIn profile, is a former employee of Sweet Baby Inc, having worked there from February 2020 to April 2023, i.e. almost the entire time Assassin’s Creed: Shadows was in active development.

Thus, Ubisoft has hit another bottom: in an attempt to whiten its reputation in the eyes of the public, the company brought in an “expert” from Sweet Baby Inc, with whom they jointly developed the game, and to make his opinion sound more authoritative – the company found an employee of Japanese origin and placed an article with him in a major publication of the New York Times.

Assassin’s Creed: Shadows will be released on November 15 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
